Inspiring language

The Tavistock nursery provided the children with exceptional provocations to promote storytelling and language recently. Authentic resources were used to design inspiring tuff spots so children could recreate the well loved story ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’ and recite the story using a range of expressive language. Storyboards and skilful prompts were used to extend their thinking and sequence events.

We observed further beautiful language and communication as children engaged in thought provoking activities. Colours, textures, materials, emotions and numbers were explored by the children with paint, shadows and natural resources found in the garden!
